I never played the first one so I'm getting onboarded as we go.

But, merciful God, the way this game just hits you with something completely insane and you have to accept it as just A Thing That Happens Here.

There's a man who is now a doll. The doll looks like an animated version of a ventriloquist doll. He's animated on 3s. Like, literally, he isn't animated like the rest of the world.

This character's name is DOLLMAN.

There's a ships captain who pilots a ship through the tar that now goes beneath the earth (don't ask) and he is missing one of his hands. Because his hand is just In The Tar. And that allows him, and only him, to navigate the tar. The description of him in his bio just says "It's unclear how this happened."

HIs name is TARMAN.

I have several times said "this is like Jojo but more uncomfortable"

There's a... mannequin who talks by throwing up pictures on his face like he's in a meme.

He's the one who gives Jojo vibes.

He feels like an enemy stand.

You can throw Dollman up into the air and he just HOVERS there. And lets you Look at the terrain.

Death Stranding 2 is the most Kojima thing I have witnessed (saw the entire game) while also being the most heartfelt Kojima thing??? It's very Kojima. Also all the megaman boss names
