I checked the traffic numbers and sales for Saturday at The Inkwell, and they were way up! There were a dozen-ish purchases of former-store-stuff from my little bargain pile in the back of Inky's Place. Plenty of visitors helped themselves to the free writer's toolboxes and book from the freebie shelves on the back wall. The tip jar had a bit of shine to it.
A couple of names appeared on the player's board for the MadJab game. While I was in the shop, four visitors stopped by. One of them put their own animesh cat on the carpet to play with my shop cat! Such fun! Clearly, getting featured in Second Life's destination guide and on the login page is worthwhile.

Maybe your next creation needs to be a tourist brochure rack!
Qwis: I've been thinking about this. I want a poster for Rustica, with wording something like "Where in New Babbage Should I Go Next?" and stick a landmark in it. And I think EVERYONE in New Babbage should have a "where Next"? type poster. Keep people moving around and exploring!
Something like those really artistic vintage travel posters.
