This is probably why my works are ALWAYS super slow burns (and in one case, one person confessed in chapter 62/63 of my fic (but in their case- it made sense. There was war and Character knew he was dying, died and then it was just his spirit saying goodbye when Other Character finished the full 'quest')

One sided pining and long pining are both SO nice and good and once I wake up I may continue a bit my omori fic about kel and basil and see if I can add some extra pining in it even if basil ain't aware he's crushing yet.
