I def wanna see this movie 💕
also adding to it: YOU choose who you are
and your REAL family is the one that loves you
dilkcatte: do iiiiit

it's a
fun movie. kinda cartoony. Superman's not a perfect paragon, he's just... some guy trying to do what he feels is right and live up to ideals. he's
understandable. he's Not From Here, but he belongs here.
and WOW is it such a breath of fresh air after all the grimdark DC stuff we've had recently.
even better, it doesn't even beat the audience over the head with a lot of the better messages, it just... does its thing and lets that all be pretty self-evident. I mean, a lot of it does get called out, but it actually respects that the audience doesn't need it in triplicate in monosyllabic language like we're actual toddlers, you know? XD
also: DOG. dog is VERY DOG. XD
(love Krypto in it. he's so great...)
I love that Krypto is basically Gunn's dog self-insert
and a Good Boy, even when he's... being naughty.... XD
he said in an interview Krypto jumping on Clark is Orvo jumping on Gunn's cat
planning to watch it soon
I was telling a friend who watched it with me, that whoever was behind the writing/directing/dog parts of it obviously had a dog of their own. or a lot of experience with dogs. XD so that tracks....
also:
the ending.
oh, and stay for the post-credits scene. XD
the ending felt earned. and more than that, right.
and I kinda hated Green Lantern, but in the best ways. not everyone can pull off a character like that, but they managed, and I love him.
we've needed a Green Lantern like that, imho
Mr Terrific was... well, terrific
Jimmy was hilarious. just... WHY. XD
(you'll understand by like halfway through the movie, what I'm talking about....)
and I ended up actually loving a character I'd actually basically auto-disliked from the start. my hat is off to that!
krypto biting Clark's feet apparently is a real thing that Gunn's dog did to him XD
also beating him up worse in the first minute of the movie....
mine did that to me and she was all of 7 lbs... XD
"baby, I'm trying to sleep! ....OMG, okay, I'm up, I'm up!!"
...I'm still not over it.
I don’t normally watch superhero films that often but I might consider checking it out soon now that I’m home from my recent trip.
