I'm turning 36 and this one has been the first time I've felt weird about a specific age in a while. And I finally realized why. It's not about approaching 40s, because 40s will be great and it's still 4 years away which is a LONG time. A lot can happen in 4 years. But!!!

36 means: oh late 20s was 10 years ago. THAT is what feels weird. Once I realized that, it started making sense.

Aging is a neutral/good thing worth celebrating.

and yeah, that's one of those things. the 20s make everything feel so far away, and then you look back and see that distance laid out and it's like huh
