Between this and Escape from New York, people in the 80s and early 90s had very low expectations for cities in 1997.
I like when these movies start as a different type of movie before a Predator shows up.
It seems to defeat the purpose of the Predator's stealth when the spear and net gun are visible while he's cloaked.
It always bugs me when characters in movies don't wear gloves during situations that they logically should. (Like when it's cold out or when they're investigating a crime scene that they don't have the authority to be at)
The Predator seems much more aggressive in this movie. (Though that's likely due to being in an area with a larger population)
I knew that Danny Glover and Gary Busey were in this movie, but I didn't realize that the hotshot rookie was Bill Paxton. (And the sleazy reporter is played by Morton Downey Jr.)
The effect of a scene being shot in a darkened subway train is cool but disorienting.
"Want some candy?" is such a weird choice of a battle cry for the Predator.
Seeing the Predator standing on a tall building with his spear in the air makes me wish that Predator Concrete Jungle got a modern rerelease.
Gary Busey just quoted the Wizard of Oz in a Predator movie.
I'm surprised a bulletproof vest was enough to stop a Predator's weapon.
This Predator seems younger this time around, between his more expressive-seeming eyes, him being more aggressive (like he's trying to prove himself), and him activating the self-destruct over a relatively minor inconvenience.
It's a cool nod, but the Xenomorph skull has me questioning how its skull would be removed considering that it has acidic blood.
Nine Predators feels like overkill. (Not sure if they were waiting there the whole time)
I enjoyed the movie, though it feels like it's in the middle of the pack as far as Predator movies go. (Definitely beneath the first one and Prey, roughly on par with Predators, and well above The Predator)
