I also went to the local Buddhist monastery for vesak for the first time and was so impressed by the community and the vibes that I've been back a few times for meditation and services
it's so close by and has been there for a few years but i've just never managed to go to their open day before now. and they're so welcoming and kind and make such an effort despite the language barrier (they're vietnamese)
the other night i was the only german there and the monk still made an effort to say part of the service in german so i'd understand what's going on. also the food fucking slaps.
thank you everyone, i'm just glad i have the space to grow so many plants even on a small balcony. next apartment we get will need a bigger balcony and i'm gonna be unstoppable
the monastery is in talks with a german yoga teacher to do recurring german yoga/meditation classes, so if that takes off i'm gonna be able to go more regularly.
