For reasons I do not entirely understand I shotgunned the entirety of an LP of Yiik today, I guess because I wanted to feel something and be distracted and good god was it distracting.
What a compellingly bad game.

I think what made the text LP work was that by the end of it (the 1.5 demo) the person writing it had become effectively self-parody they were so apoplectically angry at the whole situation that their commentary almost detracted from it. It was performance art.
they made like an updated version with some story holes.put in or.made it more pretentious and fixed combat... I think???? it just sucked so much ass idk
Yeah, they've done like three updates to it at least to try to fix it.
And each one has made it worse, tbh.
