The script felt like it was being written as the movie was being filmed. Ben and Johnny had the hints of bigger plot lines that just get dropped and 90 percent of their screen time is comic relief

There was like the hint of a conflict between reed’s supergenius brain / logical solutions to an emotional problem but it’s never presented as something he’s thinking about, sue just freaks out at him.

Sue was a giant nothing character

I was like actively wanting to leave

Like I hat I guess I hoped was that they would fail and this would be the start of the battle world saga

I was naive to think there’d be something juicy like that

People are calling this a return for the MCU and I’m like but it’s... it’s the exact same. It’s the same problems

Yeah it felt like Johnny was supposed to have a storyline about feeling directionless / like “the dumb one” and this was supposed to be him proving himself

Except none of that happened and he was just randomly like “I SOLVED THIS MYSTERY AND IT WAS YOUR BACKSTORY”

He and Ben had more chemistry than him and shalla-bal

Also did Natasha Lyonne’s character ever do anything? I think I missed a scene with her cause of a bathroom break. Maybe.

No she and Ben flirted twice and that’s it
