I haven't watched it since seeing it in theaters, and I've seen 9 Godzilla movie since then, so I'm going to rewatch this to see how well it holds up.
I'm assuming it's going to hold up pretty well, as I remember this being probably the most that I've been invested in the human characters in a Godzilla movie.
Just got to the boat chase - this movie is great.
Shikishima is kind of a dick towards Noriko and Akiko when it comes to the idea of them being a family. After everything he's gone through, it's somewhat understandable, but he's still rude towards a 2 year old.
Godzilla-1.0 Godzilla Suite II | Godzilla Minus One ...when this theme came on in the theaters, I remember getting chills and I hadn't even heard it in a movie at that point.
Nobody in these movies should ever say "did it work?" or "did it succeed?" because that's a sign for the universe to prove that it didn't.
I forgot about the various smaller boats coming to help.
