Season 4 had the potential to be the best one if it hadn't been cut short, imo, and 4Kids didn't even bother to dub it. Also the influence from TAS that snuck in eventually annoyed me.

Yeah, technically the dub ended with the implication that Jaden was dead, stuck in the spirit world, or both

Granted, I say the Japanese version because there weren't really subs back then (because GX was the fandom's redheaded stepchild), but that was back in the Ancient Times.
