Favorite parts so far include the twist that when the characters are put into a silent movie, their voice acting disappears and have to speak with subtitles, which they acknowledge. It's silly, but I'm honestly okay with that. That's kind of on brand for a Fate style event
Also, when all 3 Fate canon characters recognize each other, they immediately go, 'So we're like all gonna destroy the Holy Grail, right?' 'Oh yea' '100%'
I also had a good chuckle at
Saber: "Can't say that counts as a fight between mages. Guess people in Penacony have a broad definition of Caster."
Archer: "I thought it was pretty normal"
Saber: "An archer dual wielding swords isn't qualified to talk about this"
apparently at up to the last part of the continuance, which is very short. I understand how some folks might be disappointed with it, but eh, I'm having fun with it. It seems more a vehicle to expand on Penacony's lore, which if you're a big Fate fan, that can be a bit disappointing, but I think it's not meant to be a replacement for Fate
I appreciate expanding Penacony's lore but I will say I would have liked some more like...HSR presence
I didn't expect more Fate (thought it IS weird that Lancer isn't an event prize 4 star unit) but I would have liked more like...Fate-isms
catgrumps: I kinna wish Lancer was added as a 4 star, but they're too busy making 5 stars to outclass the existing 5 stars.
yeah it's a shame considering they made him a design and everything
yea. It's crazy. I know there's a lot when designing a playable character, but cmon! You made the look!
I guess making him a psuedo aeon for the event was more their speed though even though gae bolg is just...not even that good as a support
Though, doing the continuances leading up to it, I'm surprised Reca isn't a playable with how important he is in that story.
Then again, Screwllum also isn't playable yet so maybe being a guy disqualifies you from playable status
Also like idk maybe they're holding him back for a rerun or something dumb, like another Penacony free event
also real talk I don't find it weird that Screwllum isn't playable I find it weird that Ruan Mei is
catgrumps: I'm not saying that is a constant truth. It's more weird to me to make these character models with elaborate designs that practically scream 'I'm a major character' but then never make them playable
I suppose by that same note it's weird to make generic NPCs and then have them be super important
like........................Skott
(the blind lady who was the leader of the Sanctus Medicus also comes to mind but DEFINITELY Skott)
they keep reusing Skott. its kind of impressive lol
