I was just thinking about you the other day! I'm glad you're doing well.

I am. I’m like a terrible and thin wind, capricious and gone in 60 seconds.

It’s been...May 2024 since I posted so other shit I’ve done.

- I bought my first new car, which felt and still is a major achievement

- I finished my Clinical Pastoral Education, which means I can begin Board Certificayion, which will let me move up in rank in clinical chaplaincy

- I’ve started writing poetry, initially as a method of self awareness and healing taught to me in CPE. It still fulfills this function, but I’m more confident in it. I just need to be more consistent.

-I’m honestly considering starting a YouTube channel focused on emotional vulnerability in video games/emotional attachment and meaning we have with videos games. Or I might just start a Fire Emblem focused channel. Or both. Don’t fucking know.

job-wise i'm in between things, since i was let go very suddenly a few months ago

but on the plus side, i went on a trip to japan for the first time ever

Anything particularly cool about the trip you took?

we went to miyajima, which is an island off the coast of hiroshima that has the famous floating torii gate

there are also a lot of deer just walking around among the crowds there, though they will try to eat whatever you're holding

we got some great views of mount fuji later on, too

Vacations and stuff with my kid, table top, scapping my way to a regional manager job and learning I’m the only one now not caught in huge ethics violations. Just fun times.

Not bad on the whole. Got a vacation coming up to Universal Studios in about a month so that’s the big thing right now. Also got an arthritis diagnosis, so you take the good with the bad.

But marriage is good, dog is still pretty healthy for his age, job front is better than it’s been in years, and the anime LARP scene is still going strong.
