The only math available was 7 weeks, the only lit available was 15
And to make matters worse, the lit HAS TO BE IN-PERSON
Ugh....... you mean I have to go outside and deal with people??
And the lit is the teacher I had for Spring semester and she is........
She's good but she also PILES on the work
She'll downgrade you for very small things
There was an assignment once where you lost points If you didn't turn it in EARLY
The only place that it stated that was on the assignment rubric. The submission page and assignment page said nothing about that caveat
Ugh it's gonna be a long semester
I'm gonna go do fun things and not think about it
hoo boy, best of luck to you
....whats the point of a due date if you are going to mark them down for turning it in on the due date
like, legitimately I do not get that
anyway, offer is still on the table for helping with the math
Ya I brought up that debacle in the eval at the end of the course
I got full credit but it was by accident. I just had the ability to turn it in early
"bonus points for turned in early" is fine, especially for things like drafts where the teacher needs to give tailored or detailed feedback, "docked points for late" is also reasonable
but if it has a due date, that should be when a student turns it in
if you want students to turn it in early you either give out bonus points, or make the date you want them to turn it in the due date
if you are being a hardass you at least tell people that you will dock points if it isn't turned in by x time
the way she's doing it is just cruel
That policy shouldn't even be allowed. Like you would be justified in complaining to the department about it especially if it is not well documented. Clear expectations are very important here.
