Apparently my dad ate monitor lizard in the 90s before the animal conservation act removed 'em from "exotic restaurants". I remember going to one as a kid and since it was in the 00s what we had were like goat kaldereta, fried crickets, frogs legs cuz snakes and monitor lizards were illegal by then I suppose.
