I'm doing WTF XMFC math again. IMDB claims that Laurence Belcher played Charles as 12 in the 1944 sequence and that James McAvoy played him as 24 in the 1962 and on sequences. He would have been 29. At least. At most, he would have been 30. Because 1962-1944 is 18, not 10.
samame Yes, this is because of you. I was double-checking the age gap between them.
xmfc is idiotic re: their ages
charles and erik: mid 20's - impossible
raven: somehow underage (at least under 21??) even though she was at least as old as charles in the 1944 scene
so it's best to just ignore the """"official"""" ages
erik was born in 1930. he was in auschwitz. there's no way he's younger than 30-something in 1962.
IMDB puts her as 2 years younger, which I can actually see.
Just enough of an age gap that if he's feeling big brotherish, he can always TREAT her as much younger than she is.
i feel like they wanted an age gap between her and both charles and erik, but they also wanted charles and erik to be young, so it's all a stupid mess
Honestly, one of the biggest mistakes they made in those movies was putting dates to them.
i dont mind the dates, it does help with rp, i just mind them not having a single person being able to calculate ages properly lmao
lol Well, I mean, putting them each ten years after the other is also kind of ridiculous when you think about those ages.
At least Hank and the rest you can kind of fudge with their ages. Hank could either be a 17-18 year old wunderkind or in his late 20s, same as Raven.
yeah but you can easily say that they age differently being mutants. i mean, just look at how old they are in the comics and how they look
raven we already know doesn't age like other people, even in the original movies they talked about it
but just look at mutants in the comics lmao none of them age normally
raven just doesn't AGE which is different
I mean, to be fair, comics is comics. They've all been running for decades and except for a few who've now acquired kids (I'm a DC girl, so I'm looking at Batman and Superman), they don't really age just as a matter of course.
