comes to an end today! Yesterday was the last full day, but today we will be doing the last odds and ends on the kids’ passes (and ours) and hopefully end up with some souvenirs that aren’t just our MagiQuest wands, some Build-A-Bear stuffies for the kids, refillable sipper cups and popcorn bowl and my souvenir alcohol beverage cups 🤣
I’m pretty stoked to be able to sleep in my own bed tonight and not have to worry about “quiet hours” (even if they were from 11pm-7am, lol) and making our own food and...maybe do RP things since I’ve been glancing at things off and on since Monday but haven’t had the energy after our days to really do much of anything.
Pretty much each day since Monday I’ve hit between 10k-15k steps because of the MagiQuest game and the fact it’s easier to take the stairs than wait for one of the elevators because they’re slow AF, haha
The oldest made it to Master Magi in the game (aka the game was completed) and so did we, the youngest was just here for the vibes aka with how SO MANY people were playing and the four “boss battles” needing to be completed at one of four specific screens and baby boy wanting to be carried instead of walking, it meant we got about halfway for him. Whoops!
We’ve already said we would probably do this again, just probably not until next year (I kind of hope to make it a yearly thing until the kids are old enough to appreciate somewhere like Disney/Legoland/etc given the distance to those places) because then the youngest will be a little older and might actually want to do the water park (he managed day 1)
and also want to walk instead of be carried like he did this time. He’ll be closer to 4 and might feel a little more brave. He loves playing with and in water at home, so maybe he’ll be over (or at the least in a better place with it) the case of the shy he gets when he’s around new people and big groups of people, at that!
sleeping in your own bed after vacation is an amazing feeling!

I lied. We got the bare amount of things unpacked from the car, picked up lunch, napped a little and now I have to run to the store to get something simple for dinner/a few things for breakfast tomorrow and worry about groceries sometime tomorrow
The nap was needed. But I might still have an energy drink in a little bit...
