It was cathartic to to tidy up my mass of files related to that project into a folder on my hard drive, and tuck that folder into the Writing - Published section. I still have promotional work to do but the creating part is done. Except for one seekret project, but can't talk about that now!

Now everyone cross your fingers that some reviews start appearing, else PP will drop into Amazon's basement. I do have one amazing review so far, it's over at Goodreads. Most likely Amazon is dragging on posting it. But ain't this a beauty?Albert Seligman's review of Parlor Poetry

I will confine my bookbabble to this thread. I know I'm absurdly excited but I don't want to get tedious. Tis fine to mute this thread if you like!

Interesting. Still #1 in 19th century history. I know that Amazon rewards steady reliable progress rather than a huge splash on release day followed by nothing. So, I'm content, getting over my advance reader debacle. (no one followed through.)

I've had at least one sale every day, and that's the sort of activity Amazon rewards. I wish it was in other markets too, but for now for various reasons it's only locked into Amazon. in 3 months I think I will have a 'second' release when it fans out to all the other online markets.

I wish I could be more help, but my reading is audiobooks only these days. The last text book I read was beta read on the Professor’s and he wound up having to send me a version I could increase text size on. Still took me a long time to finish!

Fogwoman: I totally understand! Don't even worry about it. I wish I could make this an audio book, but that's hard to do with this particular format, and it's got a substantial amount of artwork. Plus, Audible sucks rocks and they aren't getting any more of my manuscripts. Will find alternatives for the next book.

Oh, not asking for that. Just wish I could be more help with beta reads and the like. Even Beloved’s book isn’t audio format, I totally get it.

CeejayWriter: Heh. I just envisioned an "augmented and commented" audiobook, with the reader describing the art, and passing comments, as if they were in a Victorian-era salon... (LOL) "Oh, for the C, we have a picture of some unmentionable. Well, unmentionable in mixed company, but since we are within friends... [takes conspirational voice] a corset!"

Fogwoman: Ah, got it! And yeah... beta readers and advance reviewers are valuable resources. But you do great in the cheerleading department!

StereoNacht: Hah! That could actually be a fun concept.

Next convention, perhaps you could ask your steampunk author friends (or anyone you know who could do the parts), rent a studio, and go have some fun recording that. :-D

StereoNacht: That WOULD be fun! Unlikely, but hey, weirder things have happened in my life.
