I don't do visual mods like that. a few QOL ones.

I use them a lot, but this is exactly why I never used face sculpts. I wanted them to still look like themselves when the mods inevitably stopped working.

they have a right to be upset, but they were saying stuff like the game is done. that the player base is going to leave

I think a substantial amount of people are going to leave, but the casual/social/RP side of FFXIV existed way before mods and will continue after them.

yes, a lot of people will stop, but there are still a lot that don't mod or don't care to mod

I am going to make sure my house doesn't explode and then I will try to get caught up when I have my birthday staycation

People thinking this will kill the game are ridiculous. There's only a portion of players that even uses mods to begin with. If they really care about socializing and RPing, they'll adjust or wait for the inevitable replacement plugin.

If you want to get technical all mods are against TOS.

some people be seein a speedcam go up then protesting the police station about the drugs in their trunk

like literally people, screaming in SE's faces about this is only gonna make the situation worse lol

this is why I don't stream FFXIV

because I do have a few mods set up like a compass and things like that because I am blind and get lost easy. I don't want to get hit with a ban

This is part of the reason I don't mod. I saw all the trouble my friend had with even the QoL mods in Minecraft every time there was an update, and I just... ugh. Plus, too many mods does eventually kill the processing time and creates more lag on any game. He had so many mods that I couldn't even play on his server anymore. So, I just don't bother.

It's just... yeah. I can understand why people would, but I don't because it feels like too much trouble.
