It gets to a point, on one side you can have a community to relate to but they mainly choose a community where you can post self harm and unhealthy tips which makes it harder for people to recover, most have to leave said communities during recovery for their sake

Gaz_of_proshiptwt: honestly any community based on any disorder is always going to be toxic and unhealthy. because its not moderated by a therapist.. DO GROUP THERAPY!!

noriikumae: Professionals can't really always moderate communities on their own plus a lot of the members are minors and can't afford therapy or group therapy, sucks but mental health isn't rlly free or they refuse to get better

THATS WHY shedtwt shouldnt exist, and they should not be in a space to get reminded of it or they will relapse. therapy and group therapy isnt always affordable which is why we have hotlines or just talk to people you trust abt it. and i know not everyone has ppl they trust. but online friends work.

noriikumae: Can't really talk to them, I've tried they're pretty defensive and can be aggressive, they're even celebrating the fbi account on twt being put down by cutting funny part is they used sh threats to try to get the account to shut down, most of these ppl don't want help and it's sad but it's their choice

noriikumae: They're willing to dox and send sh material to ppl trying to get these communities taken down so there's not much one can do

Gaz_of_proshiptwt: YEAH its honestly sad, these spaces can never be healthy in any way and obviously the people in it arent pro-recovery
