The youngest did not sleep the best last night and I also did not sleep the best with that and I am one tired bitch who’s one energy drink like an hour ago deep (on top of the coffee from idk, 4-5 hours ago) so I am taking advantage of my husband being home for nap time

My oldest has kindergarten tomorrow and I am FEELING THIIIINGS 😭

Thankfully I didn’t have to fill out any paperwork, lmfao. The stuff in the packet for oldest was for bus riders and that doesn’t apply to him or for free/reduced lunch and the whole school gets that anyway. Then I had the youngest’s stuff to fill out for the new school year for preschool but lmfao it’s all electronic so FUCK YEAH

I literally stressed myself out thinking I was going to have to hook up our stupid fucking printer when I couldn’t electronically fill out the things for the youngest on my laptop...to find it worked on my phone. And then trying to go through things for my mental to do list I just made myself feel nauseous even if lmfao, MY CHILD HAS GONE TO SCHOOL BEFORE

because it's a big change! you're nervous for him and also grieving the loss of the stage in life where he was smaller and with you more. watching him grow older is new and scary as he's going to slowly become more independent and it probably feels like time flew past

I have now dropped my oldest child off to his first day of kindergarten and my youngest child decided he wanted to be a big boy too and had to grab his backpack and put his lunch box and an apple (I was putting an apple into the oldest’s backpack) in there too.

I also applied to be a volunteer. I might sign up for the PTA now that I know I can just throw money their way if I don’t have the spoons to do more than that

But now it’s just me and the little one until....3pm, lmfao. WOW

You did it! Congratulations. It's such a rough milestone. You're so proud, but it also hurts the heart to see them grow so fast. Enjoy this time. They'll have so much fun, and all the little papers and drawings. It's wonderful. Congrats mom! <3 Enjoy your time with the little one too.

He had a couple of meltdowns (mostly from a ‘I can’t do it’ standpoint and all that, plus he was upset when he and his cousin had to split up at the end of second recess because the kinders and fourth graders have that recess together and so he got to see him) but he seems to have had a decent day otherwise? He seems like his usual self

And he’s told me bits and pieces about his day which is HUGE because he almost never does, be it willingly or through me asking questions. It’s usually a “I don’t wanna talk about my day, it was so looooong, mommy” kind of energy haha

That and some of his papers it looks like he actually made an attempt on as opposed to some of the things he did at preschool, so... yeah! I asked him if he had fun at school today and he said “yeah”, so that’s something

Wednesday, September 3rd

I forgot to plug in the date for yday but whatever, it’s only been three days of the month so far

Got the youngest’s stuff for preschool squared away with orientation tonight and tomorrow he has a meet the teacher (it’s his same teacher from this past school year because he has the same class for the little guys since he’s not quite old enough/ready for the 3-4yr class based off the time they need to be 3 by) so it means he gets to go to school TOO

I need to print out pictures of them both, the oldest has a Star of the Week thing I need to fill out since it’ll be something they do with each student at one point in the year and usually the preschool has an “about me” page they send home from Meet the Teacher that gets displayed during their art show in the spring

So...we might be going and doing that tomorrow too, lmfao. It depends on how rambunctious the little guy is knowing he can run amuck without his usual partner in crime

Thursday, September 4th

Survived drop off number two for this school year and 😭

My poor sweet boy was a little scared because he said “I don’t know where my class is” and they don’t even go into the classroom at drop off anyway, it’s to the cafeteria to eat breakfast or the gym so they can read a little and then they go to class I guess??? The first day I got to walk him straight to his classroom but I hope I got the adult/teacher at

the door to have someone check in time so he got to the right place. I guess they have adults all throughout to make sure they end up in the right spots, it’s just that anxious mama in me who doesn’t like the idea of my child panicking when all of this is new and he’s never been in a school this big. He knew where his classroom was at preschool.

There were only two classrooms and two additional rooms they played in, lol

On the docket for today (or possibly tomorrow morning) after meet the teacher in a little bit is getting a flu shot scheduled for the little guy since I can take the oldest in at one of the pharmacies either at the grocery store or nearby to get him one and not have to take him out of school for it so, yay

Got the youngest’s 3yr old well check scheduled, but they didn’t know when the flu shots are gonna be in so...that’s a waiting game lmao

The oldest only had 2 instances of crying at school today so I’ll take it! It also looks like he ate more at school so that’s also good because I know sometimes he gets distracted or likes to move around a lot. Also this kid seems soooo tired right now

Friday, September 5th

It’s been a pretty lowkey day since the oldest didn’t have a normal school week yet but NEXT WEEK, it’s a full week for him and the youngest is back in preschool for Tuesdays/Thursdays so I was glad for the not needing to rush and do anything today.

The little one took a nap briefly so I’m hoping it doesn’t come and bite me in the ass later and playing some lullabies around bedtime as I hold him will lull him to sleep because...I am fucking DETERMINED tonight to get to tags

The past few nights 11pm has been sneaking up on me and I’m like “oh yeah, it’s time to go to bed” and lmao I can cheat a little because it’s the weekend, okay? Okay
