It's a bit early maybe? But honestly, I'd rather get them now before they get banned entirely so
Katie absolutely NEEDS one, therefore my dad and I need one out of association
Idk what the new rules are really but we have enough auto immune diseases between us to be Worthy
I'll just update with how things go..
I know that sounds Wrong but if anyone questions if you or your dad, personally, are high risk.....just tell them yes. the CDC list is full of choices
How shit that it can come to this
In China, foreigners were denied boosters
I don't think America realizes vaccines are a privilege
It's just fucking wild to me
love that the party of "my body my choice" wants to deny choice
too much misinfo and a government that pulls people along like sheep by saying not to trust experts like ???
do you want a teacher fixing your car? no
so if you'll trust a car expert, why would you not trust a panel of actual experts....

I hate this reality, can we try another AU
But ya, it's just. Actually insane how things have turned on their head. Nothing makes sense anymore lol
I have to see how strict they're being about "high risk," because I definitely need shots.
I'll absolutely be reporting back with my experience, but it may be dependent on state and the place you go and just even who is making the decisions that day
yeah, I'm in Boston, which gives me... some hope.
(But I get flattened with fibromyalgia flares every time I get sick, and I also wound up at the ER the one time I had COVID, struggling to swallow due to inflammation)
(they had to give me steroids to make my throat calm the fuck down)
Geez, ya. Hopefully Boston is good. I'm in central Virginia for comparison
They don't have the covid one at the moment
Because the FDA delayed approval
So we're to call next week etc to see when they get it in
BUMMED they said through text and their website that they had both
But apparently they just didn't update that there was a delay
Got the flu jab done at the least
I've been hearing the same about why is not in stock. Apparently the meeting to get it approved isn't until mid sept. But some states are trying to pass legislation to override this
It sounds like VA is one of those states, if the pharmacist I spoke to knows anything about it
(Tldr it's safe and approved by the medical body but it's like a legislative body that needs to meet now. Obviously please do your own research cause I don't fully remeber all the details)
Reviving this plurk to say: I called today and they said they have covid jabs, but it requires a prescription from your doctor
Can be electronic (at least for my pharm), so just messaging over whatever electronic system might be all you need
