i have the same issue here that i have with genshin and that it's the information overload and how much is telling and not shsowing. they are introducing characters in the same chapter these characcters are dying
i'm gonna go back and replay it on an alt account later on to see if that help but

but like 50 percent less dialogue would be great
i am getting annoyedd at how much talking is happening and how little that talking either a) provides characterization or b) advances the plot

very sad but this is the worst way to experience it
i lOVE this character and her design, but her being introduced at the 11th hour and then a buncch of tie traveshit has made me struggle to get invested in her story
yeah i cant with this dialogue or this method of storytelling

i think there was feedback somewhere along the way that people couldn't follow the story when they showed and not told because this has been a noticeable shift for me in genshin.

in hsr i think it's the writer where there's something wildly high concept going on that divorces from the personal aspect of the actual characters.

Yeah I was unable to get invested in 90 percent of a pharaohs because it was so much talking heads but then then they’d have a moment I locked in for
Like cerydra’s final moments? Very cool. Also very gay. But I was having a hard time getting invested in being told her story bc neither she nor hyselins featured before this in a major way
Genshin also adopted this method and that’s probably why I didn’t care about natlan bc I don’t like stories that don’t feed the mystery to me so I can figure it out myself. I don’t think I could’ve like feasibly called a lot of these moments

which is weird because Phainon was one of the highest selling banners of all time and at least part of it is because of how long we spent time with him throughout the course of the story

there are other factors at play too, but we definitely had plenty of opportunity to get very attached to him

Like Phainon and Agylea’a stories both meant so much bc we spent so much time with them. Same with Tribbie. And same with the death god girl whose name I am forgetting

Yeah I cared about all of their stories
I think the biggest issue I had was that phainon’s final act felt like the end of the story itself and suddenly were back in the slow rising action.

maybe on a replay i'll like it more
this go around i just ended up being fed up with how reliant it was on late stage twists
for everyone
i also feel weird that they left it off with ampharous being basically still dead
