This is born from the mild discussion with notanybunny the other day about Bucky and how he has used endearments with the various Hels but hasn’t really with Steph thanks to the difference between being together already in a pairing or being idiots and getting there and it started to make me reflect on it a little

Bucky does use endearments but it’s not all the time, every time and they change up depending on the moment. Sometimes they’re in Russian, sometimes it’s English. Sometimes there’s more than one, sometimes there’s one and it builds from there. A lot of the time he’ll last name someone and when he uses their first name it means a lot, typically

Kara uses baby and sweetheart a lot. to another Bucky she jokingly used my moon and stars once

I had Clark use sweetheart on a Lois once. she almost dropped her phone when she read it

Stitch calls Angel Boojiboo

... I forgot Kara called an Oliver honey

Most of mine use pet names or terms of endearment, but I always kind of let the RP shape what they end up being based on chemistry and how the relationship evolves.

But then yeah, some where you're like, can you act a little more in a relationship if you are?! It's so hard sometimes. But i love the organic use of it a lot of times for RP because it's like, hmm character will try it out...

did that work? No? Now it can be hilariously weird while they figure out a new one, in context, because please also have your character react to a pet name wtih, what did you call me?! when it doesn't sound right
