i dont think i noticed at ALL when i was younger bc back then all id really seen of ff7 was advent children and while i still like that movie uh. its definitely......more this in characterization

also yeah the kh depecitions of the ff7 gang are better in the - it helps if you actually do HB to completion (easy to miss!) but they are still like better written in the manga lolllllll

also aerith's kh2 VA is rough on her everything. girl who was either phoning it in or did not get voice direction (either is possible)

but it probably says something that doing My City Now did in fact make aerith slightly ooc compared to ff7 og faithful. but that's fine. i think at 13 i fell for the classic aerith and tifa act (aerith looks nice but acts rude, tifa looks rude but acts nice) and well anyway.

Leon knows how to use a computer. Aerith knows that disc and flash drives auto run by default.

Leon definitely knows how to type, is comfy with the keyboard

kh2 Aerith is deeply hampered by her voice acting, but her script is good imo

some of it also might be Aerith is worse when they are focusing on Cloud, which is a problem with kh writing and girls as a whole

(starts headcanoning wildly) i dont feel like even radiant garden, before the fall, probably had that many computers lying around? but leon really does feel like someone who types comfortably, which made me feel like a: typing lessons were probably a thing and b: if any world WOULD have typewriters lying around itd be radiant garden

which led me to the thought of riku getting typing lessons via type writer during the post kh3 period (so he doesnt fuck up the computer that has soras data) (i think he would probably worry about that, a little)

theres probably at least One thing in canon im forgetting about to make this not work but it was a cute thought

yeah like the computer we see is not a modern PC, it's a Whole Room Computer, which did overlap with home computing, but...

re tifa: the insane fact taht you could say she is a manifestation of cloud's light the same way it is presumed sephiroth is a manifestation of cloud's darkness and canon would fully support you in this.

i feel like post kh2, based off the gummiphone they probably are heading Into the home computing era just with magic involved to let them do some things faster, but pre kh2??? leon probably had typing lessons, and i cant help but feel like they werent on a computer

cid mightve had access to a computer, maybe, of the restoration gang, and i did have the thought of cid teaching leon how to type in the aftermath of the worlds fall to like, destract him, but theres a lot of ways for that to fall thru (is the computer like, integrated into the gummiship he used to get off planet? etc etc etc)

(theyd probably also be heading into the home computing era more if they werent recovering from literally losing the whole world post kh2, so even if the tech is there the resources still probably arent)

I guess Cid has been developing better computer tech along with gummispace travel

however if you need computer for gummi ship diagonistics and so that's why cid's familiar with them (or maybe cid just was a hobby computer guy; he built rocket ships in ff7 canon, like, even if he wasn't being paid by the government to do that - maybe he was! - it could've been something he personally shelled out for a computer about)

i THINK tifa is the real original person and sephiroth is just a manifestation bc sephiroth is paralleling ansem narratively and tifa is paralleling kairi narratively but also that could mean nothing bc clouds darkness issues are on another level

tho i will say: what does sephiroth being a manifestation mean for zack post credits scene with the feathers. maybe his manifestation is genesis instead and they couldnt afford gackt
