i accidentally skipped the grapple in underworks the first time i went through it so i got stuck in the citadel going "wtf are these rings"

i did a little bit of perusing online and found out there's another route to the citadel through the sinner's road

which. makes sense, for the timed meat package

i need to clear that

i also need to finish exploring hunter's march.... but fuck the savage beastfly

also. me, going to that really far route to the left in the blasted steps, finding a new silk ability

anyway from my memory there are like... 3 bosses (including the 10 stage mob fight) that i've left alone because i didn't feel like banging my head against them

one of them is actually not too difficult but i just decided i wanted to explore

despite tilting on some areas and bosses every time i stop for the night i can't stop thinking about silksong

i just WANT TO EXPLORE!!!

how much more is there.... I feel like I've uncovered most areas but something tells me I'm wrong

the fight is already annoying enough

okay the savage beastfly was conquerable with tacks and spiky traps

i also got through the mist and found the exhaust organ

and beat the phantom. thank god it was so easy???

i say like i didn't cheese that fight with poison tacks and traps

the traps are there for you to use

anyway I'm delighted to finally have another path into the choral chambers that doesn't involve the blasted steps

I tried going the blasted steps route and only managed to make it into the citadel when it broke. I got hit twice tho

I love that they converted her boss moves into actual moves in silksong

anyway I've discovered that a lot of people use wanderer or reaper's crest and I'm here with hunters crest

I just learned to live with a diagonal pogo... not that im any good with it

tbh I want to play more with the architect's crest, that one has an interesting pogo

it's got a bit of a delay and the pogo is charged

I loooove the hunter's crest

a little bit hard to use if you're used to instant pogo

i tried reaper and was like "cool but not for me"

i tried wanderer and immediately took it off like Oh God

Where is my beautiful wife diagonal pogo

yeah I tried wanderer but tbh I feel like the reach just doesn't work for some of the environmental pogo challenges

or rather, silksong is designed with hunter pogo in mind I feel

like some of the pogoing in cogwork felt harder with wanderer

reaper's got that delay and I didn't like it that much

honestly if you combine hunter pogo with grapple on enemies you could get some really good aerial combos

you can

grappling enemies is instant dopamine

I'm so bad at it but honest to god you need to grapple for some battles LIKE THAT 10 STAGE BULLSHIT ONE I HAVEN'T BEAT YET

remembering the grapple can hook into surfaces is a lifesaver tbh
