Aak is a Specialist in canon which is the class we put weirdos in and of that he's a Geek subclass which (despite one new one) is a stupid class just for him. So his adaptation is best some sort of Chemist class committing war crimes

alternatively a buff/debuffer but it just really doesn't hit unless he's doing it with science

if you make him a medic/cleric he is so bad at it and wants to put all his points into war crimes anyways

he absolutely needs a frontline to function because he's made of fluff

even if you went for the alternate interpretation of status effect applying rogue he really should still be in the backline of any fight

Clara doesn't... super have a class in VtM because that's now how the system does things, even though I can list a bunch of presets she is (Hecata, Puttanesca Bloodline, Bagger) but I designed her with the idea of being more of a mage and then v5 Hecata Oblivion isn't very magey.

anyways she's so obviously a dark mage

if not outright offensive magic then something akin to the etrian odyssey hexer is also appropriate

in campaign she was learning the lasombra oblivion tech which could eventually be manifesting shadow arms to hit things but. again. she's not really the visceral "hitting you" kind of person. she's surgical and debilitating.

vtm's systems also weren't quite how I would have wanted to play manipulating ghosts/wraiths but in an isolated rpg setting sure she could be a ghost summoner. classic necromancer with skeleton isn't really her style tho.

if she did it would be one skeleton and don't ask about their relationship

she is also backline only... she could pump more fortitude and be a tanky frontline mage but she sure hasn't so far she's putting all her points in dark magicks

Kurama is a dual-blade user in canon although he is one of the physical fighters with more magical moves... he's just too cool for being a pure mage, ig. (my initial love-based team was Hina, Kurama, and Fubuki and they ALL used dual blades why!!!)

and since he's a gamer lbr he could justify so many difference rpg classes... he knows them all... the one thing that will always stay the same is the wind magic exclusivity

Kurama red mage/spellblade works for remaining a sort of generalist that is capable of filling multiple roles within a party composition. technically in canon he has no healing but I feel like. ok. especially if he were coaching someone through the content. he will try to help.

yea my folks are, uh, not tanky. kurama can frontline but he can't tank and he especially could not tank a party in which aak is being annoying and drawing aggro while clara can only single-target nuke one thing at a time

a while ago i considered running etrian odyssey 1 with a GP team (you can see how long ago, marina's still there) and i had to lie to myself that fuuta could work as a protector just to have some frontline
