I just almost fell out of my chair when sirens went off I had never heard before. Then I googled. After over 30 years they were testing the sirens they had installed all over. You know like raid sirens for disaster and war and stuff? Without a warning I had a bit of a panic moment...
Where we grew up they use the old air ride sirens as tornado sirens now
And they test them once a week - on Friday's at 11 am

Ooof! I I'm like Gidge, we had those growing up for tornadoes. If it's not testing day (monday at noon here) then you need to find out what's up.
yeah we did not have them during my lifetime at all.. first time ever hearing them. In Berlin they had retired them at some point and it was the first time in over 30 years - I have been living here for only 25 lol
