donnie is solid and good. im having fun having him grow and get a little more mature but in a really bumpy donnie way

he's learning how to communicate better and even though he's not aware of it, he's exercising his sympathy muscle

he still has a really hard time with even considering loss, and he has difficulty regulating his emotions when he's overwhelmed. lots of things default to anger/ aggression

i have fun doing that but I'm also having fun with him feeling more

cloud has been in a pretty bad place since aerith left and things unfortunately have not gotten much better for him. i can torment that boy until the end of time but it cannot be all misery all the time

he doesn't have many friends and he's unhealthily codependent with zack like HELLA (that last part is fun for me tho)

he really needs to apologize to seph for killing him that one time but tbh it'll be REAL difficult to get him to where he will, esp after what just happened

sorey is unfortunately on the chopping block; tbh ive had a hard time keeping him places for more than a few months ever since driftfleet. DF was......so good

seph does not mind being murdered. he's accepted this is a thing that will happen two to six times in his life.

he just doesn't enjoy it and would prefer avoiding it again

I share your frustrations with expressive icons with Kai orz. Baldur's Gate is pretty good but I'm not happy with Kai's smiles. I also struggle with Pixie's pace sometimes but a lot of people are patient with slower tags. S'rei and Kai first meeting is really fun! I'm just a snail and new muse stole all my energy recently

thanks and likewise! I'm always ok with handwaving threads and handwaved CR. Slice of life threads can be fun but it's sometimes hard to keep the momentum with them.

for possible handwaved options, does Cloud play chess? Altair also has a bad habit of just popping out of his friend's shadows unannounced to check on them sometimes if that interests you. Sparring could be fun too since Cloud thought his shadow magic was cool and Altair wouldn't feel like he has to hold back with him.

Altair hated chess at first because it was seen as only a nobles game and he only learned how to play to spite them, but after playing with the mages it's become something special to him and he would want to share that with his new friends. He understands that the game isn't for everyone but they have to try it at least once. That's the rule.

lol noted! For Altair chess is as much a conversation as a game, but he also does enjoy winning and won't go easy on Cloud. So it will be fun when he underestimates Cloud how wins by sheer luck lol

Also one of Altair's myth traits is enhanced luck but Altair rejects it because his luck has always been notoriously bad so he doesn't trust it. So that could be a fun way to throw him off his game too
