Okay I'm gonna do a play by play of a level in Strange Antiquities so people can get a sense of what this game is like

Start in the artifact book
Find the entry on the Nephroquant
The first clue that jumps out at me is that they can cause Braxis if held next to you
So lets look up Braxis in my book of curses
Okay that's not super useful
let's try another approach
here's the symbol for death, which the Nephroquant is involved with
looking for that symbol in my wares
it could also have the life symbol on it
for ressurrection
oh wait here we go

Perhaps this is it
oh shit, and the hand it's attached to is "characterized by necrosis of the flesh"
I have now identified the Nephroquant
I get rewarded a new page in my guidebook
Marion goes on her way
be sure to label your shit in case you need it later
And then you call the next customer!
That one didn't require to use a lot of special tools
you get regular chances to add new items to your shop
occasionally you'll need to bust an item out in the middle of a plot event
Wyxic Cord this time
Thaumaturgy has three branches
Celestial, Diurnal, and Individual
We know the Wyxic Cord does NOT produce a wyxic field
So we fire up our Thaumic Lens 
We can use it to check what a wyxic field looks like
So we know it's "simple looking", it does NOT produce a wyxic field, and it may be some kind of stone
I bet you anything this is it
It produces a Noctic field
Hell yeah
I escape the mysterious attacker
