Yes, it is a semiconductor powerhouse in global headlines. And yes, it is a potential flashpoint on the stage of geopolitics. But what exactly is Taiwan though?

Told through the works of Taiwanese artists, some of whom are currently living in the UK, some have already gone back home, ‘Archive from Memory’ explores what it means to hold onto, reshape, and share identity across distance. Here, “archive” can be both a noun and a verb: a collection in your possession, or an act you choose.

Part of ESEA Heritage Month, this exhibition offers more than artworks; it’s a space to meet, to talk, and to build a community at the start of the academic year. Whether you’ve been in Glasgow for years or just arrived, join us to connect with stories of belonging, displacement, and the everyday threads that weave the community together.
