I know I've asked this before but chronic migraine sufferers what are your "weird warnings" BEFORE you get an evil bed binding ass migraine? I sneeze.

asking for a friend (me)
so my migraines are weird in that pain is like, third on the list of my symptoms at absolute max, my primary migraine symptoms are brain fog and "the squeezer" which is just like. my head is clamped too tightly for its contents all around. so if you're a pain migraine haver your shit may be different
but usually I notice sinus pressure (my migraines are atmo triggered) and noise sensitivity - if I'm at work and my music makes me want to commit a murder I pop migraine meds immediately

otherwise I just like. I have a nonspecific "I wonder if I should take my migraine meds" feeling? and if I have that thought twice in an hour I take the fucking meds'

starcrossedsky: oh my god no I don't experience any of this but that sounds like TORTURE I'm so sorry you experience this
THE SQUEEZER IS AWFUL I HATE BEING IN IT
I can't wait until they let me work hybrid because one of my other triggers is light-related and the oiffice lights are in the spectrum that gives me migraines
and so like. my triggers stack, so an atmo thing that wouldn't give me a migraine at home will give me one at the office bc of those fucking lights

i have yet to figure out any triggers for mine other than sleep deprivation, so most of the time they blindside me except for this one specific type that seems related to blood pressure and will kick in roughly 30 seconds after i stand up after sitting for a while

but only sometimes, so there's a second part of the trigger that i haven't figured out yet

superfine: god that sucks so bad, I wish there was anything I could do to help you identify it. I've only NOW noticed the snot/sneezing indicating a migraine

I've got a couple foods I Avoid bc they increase the likelihood but like, im in the camp of "sunlight always hurts" so its very much, things that are usually fine Not being fine is a sign

But I dont think I've have any signs specific to really bad episodes....?

I'm pretty sure I'm getting completely different kinds of migraines because some don't respond to painkillers at all, so I'm not even sure trigger identification would help a whole lot in my case. Though it might, who knows

its like, increases the likelihood rather than Will Cause, but for me its things like, Any cloves (worcestershire sauce includes cloves btw), chicken (3 days of having a single chicken soup serving basically guarantees next day migraine), etc etc

back when i got ocular migraines on the regular (painless but i was half blind for up to an hour at a time), my main warning sign was my vision going... weird. It's hard to explain but it was like the lights were too bright, but in a subtle way

both bright and dim at the same time, actually?

i never figured out what triggered the damn things, but it did seem to have something to do with lack of sleep, thanks insomnia
