I'm reading Booster Gold right now
Lucky for me, his original 1986 run is pretty self-contained
But the last 3 comics are all somehow wound-up with other series
So I had to track down Action Comics #594 randomly
And now I have to read through the Millennium comic series
Technically I don't HAVE to read the whole series, but starting at issue 3 and not reading 1 and 2 first feels weird
Plus, it's only like a 10 issue run, it won't kill me to get through it
This is the start of this character having these crossovers and tie-ins (besides a random oddball guest appearance in New Teen Titans a little earlier in Booster's printing)
I know for a fact that in order to genuinely see all of this character's progression, I'll have to read at least 100 issues that don't even have a trace of this character in them, just because of how intertwined the storylines are
As someone who has only ever read manga, this is weird to me and extremely new
Maybe this is normal, though?
I'll try to keep a passive tally of the number of times that other characters have meaningful interactions in Booster Gold specific stories, and see if the ratio is anywhere near even (heavily doubt it)
At this point, though, I practically have a corporate-quality calendar-based read order for this character
