at our meeting today with the HR lady, I stumbled my way thru introducing myself, cuz I didn't want to introduce myself

so this guy, helpful as he is, is like "hey it's okay, you're alright"

then afterward he apologized in case he was overstepping, adding "I just wanted her to see you how we see you, 'cause we like you"

first of all, fuck off that's nice go away

second of all it's really weird to have some lady I've never met be all, "so what do you do here?" like we're some kind of fuckin curiosity

third of all, I cannot and will not elaborate "do you get to Toronto?" is SUCH a snob question

I do not "get to Toronto" (and fuck the Leafs)

I barely said twenty words in this meeting and most of them were to my coworkers when I wasn't fucking up saying my own name and title

But to be fair I hate introducing myself to anyone, I feel like no matter how I say my name people say it back to me incorrectly, whether I'm using Des or Julien

It's Dez or Julia, and I want to crawl into a fucking cave

it does not help my inferiority issues and feeling like I don't matter...... CRAZY how that works lmao
