The primary frustration is I had a group I wanted to be part of, but to be part of that group, one specific player had to be available to officiate it, but whenever I was available, they were in a scene and vice versa.
When the officiating got passed to another character, I showed up just in time for a separate player to get the role I was wanting, so that felt bad, so I just kept on doing Serpentine-y things, which was fun when I got to do them, but I didn't really have a primary group to interact with.
Today however, the specific player I originally needed to meet with, offered to have me become the pilot to their own Voltron Lion, which then led to 'is there any actual goodness in Serpentine' which led to a 'Uhhhh... um... so about that...'
So yea, that ended up helping actually give a sense of character progression which is always so good in these sorts of things. I think one of the worse feelings when playing a character is to effectively come out the other side the exact same or if you're already in a good spot, then having not affected others to have their own moments of development
That all said, it was still fun to ham it up when possible. I think I have ideas on changes to the sheet. I'm thinking the Swear Loyalty and Orders from Command might be reworked or redone. Turns out not a lot of folks like to side with the evil snake alien. And Orders was... fine, but I think it puts more onus on the GMs than I realized
