Gary was HEAVY, it was goth and intense and when they played 'Cars' it was a throwdown of heavy vibe. Then the Furs come out and Richard Butler is lovely and his voice sounds the same gravely awesome and he's singing, he's not doing the 'talking the lyrics' part that many senior acts do. He didn't do the 'sing along' at all, they owned it start to finish
But both were fun in different ways, Gary being heavy and the Furs being sonically true to their history. They both rocked it in their own ways. I would def see both again!
Interesting because I would’ve imagined that lineup the other way around but yes, Numan has a savage yet controlled electronic goth metal vibe and has for a long time now. It works.
