So, last Thursday I had to let my cat of 19 years, Faye, go. His kidneys had basically failed him, and he got a bad infection. At his age there was no coming back from that.
Haven't really recovered from that... boy was with me basically my whole adult life.
But I have developed a coping method!
Dark Souls is my coping method.
i mean, it's a good coping method
sorry for your loss. glad you had him for a good life.
If you are dealing with something horrible and sad, slam your face repeatedly into the unending horrors of a dying world. You'd be amazed how well it works.
I'm really sorry to hear that... It's tough to lose a pet, and there's really nothing that can be said to console someone, but know I'm sending well wishes to you!
Here he is in his prime, lounging remarkably photogenically.
I'm so sorry. 19 years is a very solid kitty life. You gave him so much love.
I appreciate all the condolences, everyone. I... don't really have any plan for how I'm going to deal with this, precisely, besides just mourn for however long it takes.
Not even going to try to guess how long that will be. I've lost pets before, but never one that's been with me so long, and who was so uniquely mine.
I'm so sorry to hear that- the best I can do is offer distractions, but if those help I do it gladly
I'm sorry. Losing a pet is hard, especially like you said one that's been with you for so many important years and were distinctly yours.
ahhh god, yeah, that's so rough... my condolences
He was a good boy. I'm sorry for your loss.
I'm so sorry, you gave him such long life.
Offers hugs? I'm sorry for your loss
