It can’t just be that the horse is always available and I ride it at to speed everywhere all the time and it never is around except when I need it

That’s not a companion that’s a tool

At the absolute minimum, I should be able to pet the horse and say “good horse”

But I want more

I want to feed my horse apples

And care for wounds

The bond needs to be a two way street

Do you understand what I’m saying?

and you can raise it from an egg
and if you do a good enough job it can fly or stomp really hard
and it can occasionally speak to you but only in its own language
and is a dinosaur / dragon thing

Have you seen windstorm: the legend of khiimori? It’s a game in the works still but from playing the alpha test I’ll tell you that you must care for your horse
