All of these DVDs have been in 4:3 aspect ratio so far; I wonder when it will switch over to widescreen. (Probably with Scream 4)
I'm not sure how realistic the usual voice changers in Scream are, but Ghostface being able to imitate anyone's voice in this movie is something that would be considered far-fetched in the Mission Impossible movies, let alone Scream.
(at least in Mission Impossible, they had to make someone say a specific poem/phrase to get the syllables needed to copy someone's voice)
I wonder if Sidney's choice of security code (1288) has any significance.
Pleasantly surprised they got Lance Henriksen.
Jay and Silent Bob have a random cameo, and I'm surprised that Neil Prescott is in this one. (I thought he was written out after the first movie)
I can't believe it - Sidney's dead mother is Ghostface! Dun dun DUN!
What is with this series and Dianne Sawyer? (I don't follow the news all that closely, so maybe she was a big deal in the late 90s/early 2000s)
Pretty sure the bodyguard (Stone) is Patrick Warburton.
The way that they find out that Maureen Prescott went to Hollywood feels a little contrived.
The set-up for the explosion kill seems really elaborate given that this entire plan could be fooled if they used a flashlight like before, or took the fax outside, or did literally anything other than use a lighter to read the fax.
Not fooled, foiled. (Lousy autocorrect)
Detective Kincaid seems like a pretty obvious candidate for the killer (or at least a killer)
Angelina also seems suspicious.
Randy is going into way too much detail about his sex life in his video will.
I haven't seen Godfather 3 yet.
Angelina is WAY too suspicious (being found in a bathroom with a Ghostface mask), so she's probably not a killer. (Then again, Billy was pretty obvious)
Or at least Billy was unsubtle and creepy.
"Nothing happened to her that she didn't invite in one way or another, no matter what she said afterwards." Jesus. (Hard to believe that the Weinsteins produced this with zero self awareness, given that this was directly targeting their behaviour)
Roman shouting out "we'll be right back!" is a giant red flag for him being a killer.
Roman's death happened off-screen, which has me doubting its authenticity. Angelina's is more authentic, though we've seen one killer fake the death of the other before.
This might be a new personal best for Dewey - he was punched in the face and hit with the handle of a thrown knife, but I don't think he was stabbed once!
The killer seems like the least interesting of the series so far. The big reveal falls flat because Sidney never met the person in question, and Gail and Dewey show up and discover the identity as the killer is dying.
Guess her name is spelled Gale, not Gail.
Kind of odd that Detective Kincaid is just part of Sidney's life now.
No, Sidney! Don't leave the door open! A bird might get in the house!
I thought the mystery element was handled better than in Scream 2, though the movie was worse overall. Some of the deaths were contrived (particularly the explosion), the change to the formula where there was only one killer meant that they had off-screen teleportation powers (though it could be chalked up to knowing their way around the set and the mansion)
and while the voice changer being able to imitate anyone did help to create suspense, it's a stretch that it exists in universe (especially around 1999 or 2000) and it goes completely unexplained.
Plus the killer wasn't very interesting compared to the killers from the first two movies.
