My mom had been in the hospital again (she's fine; it was a seizure and they've pinpointed her meds as the likely culprit), she tested positive after Dad and I did

She had COVID and the flu at the same fucking time

jesus christ

I'm glad she's okay but holy shit

We're wondering if that didn't contribute to her seizure as well

She's remarkably calm about it but the hospital understandably had her in isolation and she wasn't allowed visitors; the nurses and physical therapy staff had to go full gowns, mask, etc.

But she came home today and seems in much better health than Dad and me rofl

We're both fine, just a lingering cough and fatigue

ah man that's scary

It is, it could have been so much worse, but aside from a fever when she was brought to the ER and a little wheezy breathing she had little to no symptoms

Which is why we didn't catch it sooner
