So, yesterday one of my cats just.. died.

Link was bouncing around in the morning and I just found him dead in the afternoon?

I'm not entirely sure what happened and I cannot stop wondering if I missed any signal?

I went to feed the cats and he was just dead on the floor.

no signs of foul play or hits or hurt or anything, just... dead and already cold

cats tend to mask their issues pretty well from what i understand...

maybe you can take him to a vet and see if they can investigate?

They do but he was a baby. Five months old. He should have been at the top of the world

I'd rather not have him cut apart, honestly. I'm waiting until tomorrow when I can borrow a good shovel and just put him to rest

I will however take his siblings to the vet soon enough, in case it was something it could have been passed

that's understandable. unfortunately sometimes kittens can have stuff going on and we just don't know until it's too late

I need to wait 5 days to be paid since last month was rich in expenses. I just feel guilty. He was bouncy, happy, always the tail up... and then he just kind of fell mid courtway and passed

I am doing what I can kitten. I ended up with six cats (now five) without even trying to.

So it's a LOT in terms of caring and expenses for them? But I feed them, I make sure they have shelter and I am waiting for the younger ones to hit the six months mark to get them vaccinated/neutred

It didn't rain in a while so I will have to find a proper spot where to dig.

I hope they're fine. They're bouncy, not very happy today but I can guess why

big tummies, big cuddles with the elder 'sibs' (they're from a different mom but they all cuddle together), they're fed three times a day and I make sure to give them fish and meat 'wastes' when I can (aka: I ask local fish seller and butcher for stuff they don't use and I boil/roast them and serve it to them)

Mind you, with the fish it's always heads because I am paranoid about the bones
