Update 10/14: Jan&#39;s surgery began 2 hrs later than scheduled. They removed one of the plates and &#34;cleaned up&#34; the site. She&#39;s home with a wound vac -Vacuum-Assisted Closure of a Wound- for a week, but can walk as soon as numbness from nerve block subsides.
