Much fun was had and many glowy things were enjoyed.

I loved seeing all the different systems.

Dilinger's: Dark, red circuited and oppressive.

Encom: Bright and open maybe even with a projected sky overhead. And digital trees! (Fitting for a server farm XD).

Flynn Server: Classic 80s rainbowy aesthetic, somewhat dark but not in an oppressive way, just a ye olde times computer screen vibe.

And I like how that left it ambiguous whether we can call the Flynn we saw there an actual copy of Flynn or not. Just Dudeing/Zen thinging all over and thus being both profound and profoundly vague. X3

Also calling back to Legacy... Clu 2.0's plan was doomed from the start, though there was no way any of them could have known that at the time.

Like Quorra, 2.0 himself might have been stable enough to make it, but his army and all of his equipment? Gone in under half an hour.

Also 29 minutes strikes me as such a random time limit.

Which is not a bad thing, I'm just amused at the idea of various programmers just trying to figure out why it's exactly that because you know not being able to make that one extra minute to make it a nice, round half hour would bug people. XD

And that mid credits scene, hoo boy!

On one hand, if there's one User who deserves to end up as a Sark zombie it's Dillinger Jr.

On the other... the possibilities of that, even in a ruined system are kind of terrifying... >.>

Dillinger Jr. already proved he was willing to commit murder if he thought he could get away with it. Combined with the 'brutal and needlessly sadistic' Sark... yeah nothing good will come of that.

i am seized with the desire for fic to exist of an alternate scene: either Ares gets into a disk fight with Encom Tron during their big infiltration (ending naturally with a respectful tie acknowledging they are both bamf before the server spike bomb) And Or: ares finds both IO guardian Flynn and his loyal protector OG tron on the 80s grid.

Just got back from the movie, it was fun!
