(like, a cold sniffling, no one has made me cry)
Aak is about as good as a husband as he is as a person. That is, while he'd overall be fine there's definitely an amount of blatant and minor violations he would commit over the length of a marriage.
Therefore, he probably would also need a spouse that's either very understanding/forgiving or capable of coming at him so they actually fight out their issues and resolve it.
I would hope if he ever got married it would either be with the agreement to work some sort of clean job OR crimespouse.
He does NOT want/trust himself to be a father so that part of spousehood is a definite bump in the road.
someday he might heal himself to a place he can do it but otherwise let him embrace weird uncle energy
Clara does not like the idea of being a wife but still kind of considers that it's the most efficient form of legal partnership (in her 1920s mindset). And, uh, despite having that very outdated mindset it's not like she'd be... good... at any "wife" tasks.
She can't cook (can't taste), does only basic cleaning, and does not have a maternal bone in her body.
Clara thinks children are extremely important, one of her convictions that anchors her to humanity is to protect children from the affairs of kindred, but she doesn't.................... like them............. or know how to deal with them.
(she also doesn't really like animals, something I personally am sad about, and our storyteller still throws a bunch of animal-people at her who can put up with the bad kindred vibes)
She's an excellent partner-as-wife in that her spouse can absolutely offload a ton of cognitive load onto her and she'll likely just take care of it.
Of course, if she were taken for granted, uh... look, there might be at least one AU I've imagined in which she did get married and subsequently killed her husband for emotional neglect.
That is a big problem of Clara as a spouse, while she's very efficient in talking about problem-solving she's very bad at explaining if her emotional needs are being unmet or how to handle that short of exploding.
Kurama perfect husband no notes. No, just kidding, you guys know me, I have notes.
I really feel like the people writing the romance routes liked Kurama because he doesn't get a ton of... flaws or hiccups in how he acts as a husband in-game, despite the fact there would likely be some. He keeps weird hours gaming, he's still healing from his own communication issues, he only makes you sweets as meals...
Although for Kurama, "having a family" via marriage is something he never felt like he can do so there's a certain amount of extra honeymoon phase thinking along with sincerely wanting it despite not expecting it.
He definitely wants kids but also will definitely do his best to take care of the kids and play with them. I think he might struggle with having to remember his partner is a person outside their family unit that could lead to conflicts since he throws himself into it so wholeheartedly.
Aak might poo-poo the idea of grand or fated romance but that means he's actually a bit more chill about the idea of getting married (with the right person).
He's not a good person but, hey, plenty of bad people still love someone.
wolf birds.
wolfbirds............. tengulfs............
at least with other gods there's not the awkward "so, uh, what about in a hundred years" issue
