Gintoki is a great cook, isn't as much of a slob as you might expect (partly bc he just doesn't do much), and loves very fiercely. He isn't necessarily very physically or verbally affectionate, though, and there's the fact that he's shit at finances and has a tendency to gamble and drink his money away.

Frodo is, yanno, A HOBBIT, so he's content with all those nice and calm and everyday things. Loves food and happy to cook. Has no qualms about doing chores. Definitely affectionate in all manner of ways. Of course, along comes the Ring and breaks him and he has to leave but WAVES HAND details.

Gale is the canonical camp cook in the game. Very romantic, perhaps a bit over the top about it. Will write you potentially terrible poetry and demand snuggles in front of the fireplace. Will happily read out loud to you. You just gotta be able to put up with him incessantly blabbing about magic.
