the young, hopeful, naive hero who's slowly ground down by the realities of the horror around them and must come face-to-face w/where their ideals fail, cope w/their trauma, and emerge the other side changed but steeled
which is a fairly common trope but i haven't had the opportunity to play in many games
2. the chosen hero prophesized to lead the kingdom against the evil god... except that the kingdom is a fascist hellstate and the evil god is just distasteful foreigners. struggling to escape his destiny of leading the fantasy nazis to their promised victory
oh shit, that's real good
System would be drive break or lancer
I think I've pitched the Armored Hardsuit Gadgeteer Fighter in like three different games at this point and got passed on each one
Guy fighting with ad-hoc industrial tools and one-off gadgets
1. The Amnesiac
quinn2win: I actually have several ideas on how to run with either of these
delphicxix: anyone who has been in any of my games can tell you that I will definitely pile on The Horrors at least a little bit
yeah. it's very tone-specific because it requires a large quantity of The Horrors focused on a specific character but it's such an interesting arc that i'm always fascinated by
Shirou is a The Guy Of All Time for sure
3. a cute hero who is also a giant
just, eight times the size of the other PCs
phainein: I don’t think we have a lot of aesthetic overlap but I would still love to have a Claire in a game I ran or was in
having someone who doesn't mesh with the aesthetic can sometimes elevate a game
A specific character of a young gnome druid who is from the desert and likes climbing things and is slowly exposed to the reality of mankind's greed and destruction for the plane she lives on.
I still haven't properly done the amnesiac either
I also have my specific one piece swordsman idea
and a teenage superhero for a superhero game
I don’t think I’m up to running a one piece
I did have a concept for a superhero game, but I dunno if it’s what you’re looking for
I think I had a list somewhere of new ideas but right now I feel like I mostly just want another game for one of the peanut gallery
I also wanna do a dissociative identity disorder person but like. Done right and not "mwahaha I am the evil half"
not a "demon king," not some faceless evil opponent
dethroning the "rightful" king of the land in a burst of fury
1. serial isekai victim arrives in a jamjar already settling in like an otter to water (loudly, complaining every step, but fits in like a glove)
2. what happens when Dr. Doom decides to make his grand-daughter a supersoldier (it goes poorly) (look at her, she's got anxiety) (or maybe that's just the ADHD)
3. character with dream powers who is about to connect, the hard way, what it is that helps him connect with the dream-selves he's borrowing power from
4. someone awakening to a Stand through supreme mastery of a skill, what that even looks like
In a setting full of supers, a nonpowered person who keeps up solely with training, weaponry and tactics
...was Ashlyn the batman,
Midnight and Ninelives were Catwomen
actually I think the new Superman movie has settled the debate
