the amount would be very small since he can keep the fungi from spreading thanks to his tethers. He also hides the fungi with his black bandages because he doesn't want to worry anyone.
I don't want Sirius to get too corrupted, (at least not yet) but I thought a light amount of succumbence would be a fun way to play into the fact that he wasn't entirely human before. It's also why he's not nearly as concerned as maybe he should be
I've also been working on the details of his living arrangement more too. I had created a library that fit the new york aesthetic but I may have found a bookstore bar that works!
I might have to tweak the interior design a little since Sirius's library that I've been using is mostly overgrown by fungi and the lounge area is mostly intact. So to fit with what I've already played out, half the books were moved to the front of the bookstore where the cafe is, and half are in the back with the lounge area and bar.
this change works well with Sirius's little project to restore the library (now bookstore) and it plays into Sirius's character that he would still try to salvage the books in the front of the store, even though there are plenty of books that are mostly undamaged in the back.
I might also have an apartment nearby that Sirius sometimes uses but more often he just stays at the bookstore bar. He likes his books and his best friend always likes to tease that Sirius would live in the library if he was allowed to, so it's a fun tribute to that too
I think I'll also handwave Sirius finding an incomplete chess set at Toki's toy store. For the missing pieces he fashioned pieces out of the corks of the wine bottles at the bar. He's not skilled at carving at all so they're very simplified shapes.
The fungi blooming from his scars is cool, and definitely something Sharon would be concerned over if she saw it—especially because some of the Hosts have the same thing.
Also, I love the change from library to the bookstore bar very cozy
