I haven't been inspired by any TDMs I've seen recently to write the other chars I'm itching to write but I may have to look again with her in mind. Fffff. I just. I ended up looking at her bio for how I formatted her names (since I'm about to add that to Æn'kae's) and ... I love her so much

from what you told of her she is a force to behold (but also I keep thinking of Kell Maresh, protag of "A Darker Shade of Magic", who'd find her infuriatingly similar to a friend of his)

She also speaks a pidgin. If not for a universal translator anyone who doesn't speak that pidgin specifically would struggle so much even if they knew all the base languages

because words and grammar structures both will swap around a lot

But she can manage a bit of a lot of languages (and knows swears in almost every language she's gotten her grubby little hands on)

gods she and (De)Lilah could absolutely be sisters. one of her first actions when let free on a new world was to attempt to steal the biggest ship in harbor, to fullfill her dreams of pirating

-wheeze- I forgot about this. She sounds so confident that even after she started something with "I have no idea how that works, but it won't stop me from making something up" the person she was talking to took what followed as fact XD

Her proudest accomplishment? Hacking a Federation Starship with Rren. Like they did it for lols, they didn't want to turn themselves into targets for the federation, so they just stole a couple odds and ends as souvenirs and left an encrypted message to be found by engineers next time it went in for a major service

Because I've only used her in a PSL and no full games, her journal isn't as structured as some others but like journal

Have a journal for Rren too with a bio and stuff. Technically have one for their captain, H'Naal, but that one is basically empty, no bio or anything XD

Rren Yes I use pretty much the exact same Nav format for all my OCs, basically because it lets me have all the links but also little snippets to get an idea of the char at a glance without needing to get into the full bio

But I'm gonna be real. She came by it honestly. Like sure, H'Naal was an ACTUAL privateer and pirate. But like also "Oh this person is a slave? Hm. I see. My child now." (and probably committing murder on the way out the door because his loathing of slavers is kinda uhhhhhh... off the charts)

Basically: How he adopted both Khell and Rren

pfff my note on Mind Reading for Khell is basically "Look she has no defenses, but even if you pick up her surface thoughts, those are probably lies too"

Day sorta adopted Tess (a younger girl) on the streets bc after sharing some stolen bread with her she kept following him and he couldnt bring himself to chase her away

not that he will talk about Tess too much on the Noanga, they had an argument regarding his relationship with June just a bit before getting to the gas station (aka Tess crushed on him hard and he thinks of her more as a sister)

If Æn'kae doesn't end up crushing on anyone he interacts with a lot at some level, I would be shocked. If he acted on it I would be even more shocked XD

Though uhhhh his biggest random crushes will always be on people far too old for him -facepalm-

Day wouldnt mind, Aen'kae is a lovely boy

Æn'kae and his childhood celebrity crush on a much much older Spock than in TOS XD

(whether Day will ever have a solid relationship again is another matter, there is that big hurdle of "my girlfriend got my family killed and its my own fault for not being more careful")

He also crushed on a human Captain of mine who is ~70 (just on appearance. Once he got to know Darren he was TOO LOUD and the crush died)

Which is just as well since Darren is ace, saw him as a child, and also in a monogamous relationship XD

His type seems to be "No less than twice his age and emotionally unavailable"

the crush on Darren died in part because Darren is TOO emotionally available (I honestly expected he would crush on Darren's husband, but Perry is uh, very good at blending into the bg, and I think he did that so much that Æn'kae just didn't notice him)

I... think there would be a lot of cans of worms for Æn'kae getting into a serious relationship of any sort anyway. But I will forever laugh at the constantly shifting puppy crushes

yeah, Days canon is pretty much that even with amnesia he never gets over June, but also cant be with her bc it drags up all the trauma

they were the only Prodigys of that nation, its like finding the one person who can understand your thought processes and match you beat for beat

oh I just remembered I'd decided the trio I lovingly call the crime throuple in Æn'kae's friends group used to be part of H'Naal's crew and would know Khell.

Seivas - Havran - A tech with a specialty in rigging systems to bypass lockouts and keeping engines running on next to nothing. She is one part of a throuple and has a small pet named Aenarjy (A Terrha dog called a 'Chihuahua'.) She stays ahead of fashion and swears like no one else.

Sydney - Terrhain - A hacker who at some point in their past had a Dataport implanted. They are the second part of the throuple. They are about as quick as Nukhar to prank people and have a distinct fondness for gardening and gambling.

Chahril - Klling'han/Rihan - A 'jack of all trades' who primarily dabbles in chemistry and demolitions. The third of the throuple. She spends her free time singing (no opera, Thank You) and trying to see what other chemists are studying. She is very good at instigating bar brawls between others and somehow not getting involved.
