I love how she spent the entire thread more or less knowing exactly what she was doing...and then the phrase "gas station" is a record scratch
(although there's so much in her prior assuredness that's based on false equivalence. This isn't a spelljammer, the rules of space are different, the fae of this world don't match 1:1 with the Feywild, etc)
lol, I love that sort of thing too....
fun to play with, for me: in a setting I've been running with, poppetry is A Thing among the fae. think like, Pinocciho sorts of stuff. so by default, they treat anything that could be alive as if it is. what if that rag doll is actually someone's beloved child, after all, right?
so that's one of those funny little things, is that they'll be polite to Siri/Alexa sorts of things, all very please and thank you and asking how their day was.... XD
even funnier is that as their magic reflects belief and expectation, that means it's actually possible that by being convinced by a VI on their phone, like say, Gemini or something, they might actually be slowly establishing their phone as Actually Alive After All. (which, I'm thinking, was the actual deal with Snow White's stepmom's mirror....)
so they may need to be very careful when they upgrade their phone, to help the spirit they've been accidentally growing in it to transplant to the new one, and not just their contacts list and photos.....
Oh my god that does sound fun
just one of those clues a character who's In The Know might want to watch for. maybe a character has a habit of rubbing their thumb across the back of their phone, subtly (petting it), or begging their device to work, or wincing when someone's rough with theirs... keep an eye on them. see if they anthropomorphize that iPad more in private, lol.
