Wasn't expecting it to start with a Looney Tunes cartoon.
Hey, Christopher Lee is in this!
I think I watched this when I was a kid - I remember roughly three scenes. (Something involving a gargoyle, an intelligent gremlin talking about violence in cinema, and the electric gremlin)
Even the tagline of this new business development is kind of racist. (Its representatives are more blatant)
Though maybe calling Asia "the Orient" was just a thing at the time. (A news reporter calls it that on TV)
Poor homeless Gizmo. (And he's immediately kidnapped by a creepy man with a mustache)
Looking forward to Mr. Forster's downfall/humiliation.
At least there's a bit of a Halloween theme between the late night TV movie host, Christopher Lee's involvement, and to some degree the genetic research lab.
They're definitely taking whatever opportunity they can to show off how much Gizmo's puppet has improved.
The boss says "I like warmth" while running the coldest, most sterile office.
Marla definitely seems like an HR nightmare.
There's an epidemic of criminal mimes in New York City. Again.
The gremlin birthing effects are much grosser to look at when they're being shown in full detail rather than being obscured by the gremlin jumping into a pool.
Mr. Clamp is clearly not used to actually doing any work, even giving memos.
The fact that the movie Gremlins exists in-universe raises a lot of questions haha
Where did the Brainy Gremlin get tiny glasses? Haha
The modified Gremlins definitely feel like merchandising opportunities. (Also, some company cross-promotion with the Batman symbol - surprised they didn't throw a brief bit of the Danny Elfman theme)
The fourth wall is just a suggestion at this point, as the Gremlins interrupt the showing of Gremlins 2 before Hulk Hogan threatens them into starting it back up again.
Cracked up laughing at the warning label on the acid - "do not throw in face"
Just in case anyone sees a jar of acid and thinks it's a good idea.
And now Gizmo's going to become Rambo.
The story about Lincoln's birthday seemed like it was a parody of the first movie's Christmas story, but it took a really dark turn (or at least an implied one) at the end.
Every relationship that Marla gets into seems like a huge HR violation, either on her end or on the end of whoever she's dating.
That was a bizarre way to end the movie haha.
